I am the second of five boys in my family oldest 18, youngest 6. (I am 16)

Easy morning run.  Worked on bringing in my stride and increasing my cadence.  Very hard to do with long legs.  I had to fight to bring them in.

today was a weightlifting day and the workout is as follows:

3x20 squats with the bar (45lbs) and five lbs on each side, inbetween each 20 was leg raises.

3x20 lunges with more leg raises in between those.

3x20 on the hamstring machine with 15 unassisted pullups in between each 20.

3x20 on the quadricep machine with 50 unassisted pushups in between each 20.

3x20 calves raises with one minute of stretching in between.

That Monday Wednesday and Friday makes a pretty good workout week.

3x500 repeats at the olympic oval times were 1:27 1:23 1:26 not the best but, times.

Could anyoe tell me how the olympic oval works? at the 500m mark my watch reads .23 and .75 at the mile. Does this happen to anyone else or is that track just weird, or am I just not running far enough???

3x20 quadricep machine with 3x10 leg lifts/raises

3x20 weird rotating machine with legs 3x20 pus-ups

 10 min on the bike cooldown

Then the workout started.

5.12 miles at 33:47 because I saw Olympus out running and I felt bad that I did not put in at least one mile so I went out.

Miles follow as so... 6:57 warmup, 7:10 up hill, 6:48 breaking the crest of the hill, 6:14 downhill, 5:56 flat all the way home, 40 seconds for the .12 at the end.

In some parts of the 5:56 mile I looked at my watch and I was going 4:53 mile pace for about 700m. S I think I need to warm-up for four miles before my race.

800m warm-up at the olmpic oval. 5x400m with lunges going for the first 100, and can I tell you I was averaging 80 lunges in 100m adn staring of to sprint the nest 300 was heck on earth for my legs. I was able though to hold 56, 54, 54, 53, and 52.

800m cooldown adn bike for 10 minutes.

800m warm-up in the Utah Field House because Utah air sucks currently.

I was trying to find my heart rate today so I did 12min of race pace running and I would figure out how far I would go. In twelve minutes I went 2.21 miles so pretty good hitting 5:50 pace

By the way the track was .08m long so I was going insane about the 23 lap but it beat running in the smog.

nice easy four to bump my mileage back up into the 30's, getting sick really set me back so now its just working to get my miles up hopefully to the mid 60's by the track season.

I have received a stationary bike for Christmas adn have found some videos for stationary bicyclers, I did a 45 minute ride in Australia that included long hard stretches and short quick intervals, this is very different.

I also got a pair of the new nike Pegasus, black and neon green, and boy do they feel nice, I got them checked out and figured that they would last me for about 550-600 miles so I am going to start putting some long runs in.

45 minute biking ride. Incorporating this biking into my running has reduced the stress of my legs and allows me to run more comfortably.

I was not able to go runnig today so I decided to hop on my spinning bike while my family watched an episode of BBC Sherlock Holmes (Love that stuff) I then brought the bike into the family room and pedaled to a 180 cadence while I watched the movie, when It ws done I looked at my watch and had been cycling for 1:37:29 not bad today.

Nice lovley race tonight at 12:30 p.m. It was about 24 degrees without the running wind chill factor. I noticed that the East high team was there so I knew that there was going to be some competition, I was expecting Chris and Garek (and Tomy :(  )  but only Chris was there. We shot out and Chris got about 6 seconds ahead of me, I, not doing much runnig beforehand, could not push the pace back up to him. So I just stuck behind him. The gap widened to about 10 seconds at teh end but I was happy with the way I ran (or maybe it was because they gave me a plaque.) Some other kid was third about 20 seconds behind me, and Dakota was fourth.
